- Oil leak. The reason lies in the oil pipe of the lubrication system. It is made using metal-rubber-metal technology. ITS rubber part becomes tanned over time and leaks. In 2010, the manufacturer took this shortcoming into account and replaced the tube with an all-metal one.
- Extraneous sounds are created by the phase shifter clutches of the VVTi system. This does not affect the resource, but may create discomfort for the driver.

Problems with brakes, suspension and steering
If you treat your car well and change discs and pads on time, the brakes will seem to last forever. The owners noted that the quality of the original parts installed by the manufacturer is so high that when looking for a car with a 2.4-liter engine, you can find a car with original wheels with mileage of 200,000 kilometers. Brake pads can last even a hundred. However, when choosing a model with a more powerful motor, the discs quickly overheat and the pads burn out very quickly. This is influenced by both the greater weight of the car and a more aggressive driving style. The handbrake is considered strong, but on cars with an automatic transmission the handbrake is rarely used. To replace the handbrake cable, you will have to remove many parts of the plastic interior trim, so on older cars it either does not work or does not provide the necessary braking force.

Both engines used in the Camry 40 require only synthetics, otherwise the clutch in the VVT-i system will refuse to work, and if you neglect to clean the throttle valve assembly after a certain time, replacing it will cost $900. Refueling with low-quality fuel will easily damage an expensive oxygen sensor.
On a Toyota Camry V40, the 3.5-liter engine can jam due to a leaky oil cooler hose, and previously this was an irreparable problem; after restyling, this was corrected by replacing the hose with a metal tube.

Disadvantages of a vehicle
Some car enthusiasts consider the disadvantage that the model does not have a diesel engine and a station wagon form factor. Toyota Camry XV50
This is the eighth generation of the famous sedan. Production of this modification began in 2011. The purpose of releasing this model was to relaunch the legendary model in the fortieth body.
