Appearance and dimensions

The exterior of the 2013 Toyota Rav 4 crossover body is presented in a new style. The front of the car is equipped with narrow headlights and LED running lights. A car equipped with this power unit has only all-wheel drive. In mixed mode, fuel consumption is 8.5 liters per 100 km.
3. The diesel engine has a volume of 2.2 liters, power of 150 hp, torque of 340 Nm, is equipped with a 16-valve DOHC system, and has 2 VVT-i camshafts. Works with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Diesel fuel consumption in mixed mode is 6.5 liters per 100 km. The motor does not cause problems up to 300,000 km.

The all-wheel drive on the crossover is not constant, it is connected as needed using an electric clutch that distributes torque between the two axles in a 50/50 ratio.

In normal mode, torque is distributed between the wheels automatically, which gives better traction. On the 4th generation SUV, the all-wheel drive system has been improved, resulting in increased off-road capability.

The front suspension is MacPherson independent, has triangular wishbones and shock absorber struts, springs and a stabilizer bar.

The rear suspension is comfortable multi-link. Each element controls an aspect of the wheel's behavior. Has a stabilizer bar. Since 2013, the suspension has been adjusted, becoming softer and more suitable for use on Russian roads.

Front brakes are ventilated disc brakes, rear brakes are disc brakes.

• The monitor doesn't match the interior design, and the buttons and graphics are outdated.
• Blue lighting in the cabin does not create comfort, especially at night.
• Expensive repairs and maintenance of major units.
