The birthplace of Arctic Trucks is Iceland, a harsh northern country. Here, a reliable car capable of overcoming icy off-road conditions, heaps of volcanic ash and hot geyser swamps does not look like an unnecessary luxury.
Since 1990, the story of turning a cool SUV into a dream car for extreme operating conditions began. Now 30% of all cars sold in Iceland are Toyota Land Cruisers of various AT configurations.
After 7 years, an AT branch appeared in Norway. In 2000, the first Arctic Truck demonstrates its technical capabilities at the Millennium Desert Drive festival in Dubai. This event marked the beginning of the conquest of the Middle East. Over the next 2 years, the company receives large military contracts with Norway. Great Britain joins the production of AT and the organization of international expeditions to Greenland and the South Pole.
In 2010, the Russian branch of Arctic Trucks was founded, where the AT35 became the first proud swallow. By 2015, production was opened in Poland.
Every year the company offers owners of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Arctic Trucks new modifications, premieres and announcements. Some of them cannot be seen on city streets, because they are created for real extreme sports.

The extreme version of the car received increased ground clearance to 450 mm, 35-inch tires, a snorkel, additional lighting equipment and an expeditionary trunk. Under the hood of the “beast” there is a 4.5-liter CDI diesel engine with an output of 220 hp. With. and 430 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

It’s hard to call this tuning, because a rally-raid car was built on the basis of the Kruzak. Improvements include a roll cage, auxiliary navigation systems, and redesigned chassis and engine. 1VD-FTV in the racing version produces 245 “mares” and as much as 726 Nm of torque.

The regular LC version is inferior to the AT in size, ride height, tire width, and handling under high ground pressure. The modified car differs from the basic configuration in its chassis, body color and comfortable ride on any ground.

The center of gravity has moved higher, the driver's visibility has expanded, and the top speed on level surfaces has decreased. Greater aerodynamic drag also affects fuel consumption in the extra-urban cycle.

The Toyota Land Cruiser has set the highest standard in the full-size SUV class for many decades.
It has excellent functionality for overcoming bad roads and off-road conditions, however, modern requirements regarding the level of comfort and safety could not but affect the weight, which increases upward every generation. The LC200 AT35 package is designed to reduce the negative impact of significant mass on weak-bearing surfaces and thereby enable the owner to continue driving confidently where other cars may require external assistance, remarkable emergency tools and special driving skills.
The ground clearance increased by 45 mm compared to the basic version leaves virtually no risk of getting stuck in a rut from heavier road equipment. The operating parameters of the base car's suspension remain unchanged after a 40 mm lift in the LC200 AT35 configuration, which completely preserves excellent ride comfort and handling. Tires with a high profile and a width increased to 315 mm make it possible to take advantage of all the benefits of reduced pressure for calm passage of difficult sections of the route.
