Last August, a restyled variation of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 SUV was shown in Japan. A little later, also in August, an American variation of the brand was shown. This model has changed both externally and internally.
The car, which has undergone an update, can boast of the latest front design, an updated interior, the presence of the modern Toyota Safety Sense P safety complex, which is installed by default, and also excellent visibility, which allows you to also look under the bottom.

The all-wheel drive car now has new bumpers, a modified grille, different lights with DRL stripes and improved fog lights. The large hood of the new SUV has a striking depression in the center, which is surrounded by stampings.
There are no changes on the side of the SUV, they are only visible from the rear: updated, slightly larger LED graphic headlights - a fashionable chrome insert that emphasizes the lighting technology of the dimensions, a redesigned rear bumper with fog lights of a different shape.

The most noticeable is the redesigned front part of the car with new headlights with LED filling, which are visually cut by a false radiator grille. In general, the optics seem to be a little narrowed. On the front of the hood you can see a huge stamping like a gutter with stampings located on the sides.

The changes also affected the bumpers and foglights. The latter, by the way, have become an order of magnitude more comfortable and are still located at the edges of the bumper. The hood and taillights have also evolved. Two more color options will be available as body paint: Dark BlueMica and Copper BrownMica (dark blue and brown), which bring the color palette to 9 options to choose from.

On the side we see a line made in chrome, which forms the lower border of the side glazing. A redesigned hood completes the look. It has a different surface relief with a rising central part, thanks to stampings, and a longitudinally located depression in its middle part.

Inside the cabin we see an improved steering wheel, an updated instrument panel with 4.2 inches. display, the most improved design of the console in the center with 9 inches. touch screen multimedia system and the latest climate control unit, a redesigned floor tunnel with many control keys with additional auto options and two washers that are responsible for coordinating the all-wheel drive structure. There is enough space inside for the tallest and densest passengers. The interior is trimmed with leather and high-quality plastic. More comfortable seats for the driver and passengers, with multimedia options - 11.6 inches are installed in the backs of the front seats. screens showing pictures from the DVD installation, so passengers have a pleasant time on the road.
More brutal exterior and updated LED optics
The designers decided not to reinvent the wheel and not radically change the exterior of the car, limiting themselves to a few light but precise touches. The updated shape of the radiator grille, massive front bumper, sculpted hood and narrowed elongated headlights give the car a more aggressive look, as if demonstrating who is the true boss on the road, and the chrome trim on the door windows gives the car a discreet, masculine elegance.

The shape of the trunk has also undergone changes - the bottom lid now hinges, which allows you to place and remove luggage with greater comfort. An optional black Alcantara headliner is available. A serious revision affected the technical equipment of this model: the first ToyotaSafetySense P safety complex appeared. This means that the driver now has the following systems at his disposal:

Safety first!
Toyota engineers, when working on the electronic components of the updated model, paid great attention to the safety of the driver and passengers. The restyled SUV is equipped with a modern Safety Sense P safety package, which has a number of useful functions. The security package includes headlights that automatically switch high beams to low beams when an oncoming car approaches and an indicator that reduces the speed of the car when a pedestrian approaches. For greater driver comfort, the updated Land Cruiser 200 is equipped with cruise control, eliminating the need to constantly press the gas pedal. Please note that it is highly undesirable to use cruise control in city traffic conditions.
In addition, the car is equipped with a front-facing camera, which reduces the likelihood of colliding with another car when parking or turning around. Japanese engineers also equipped the SUV with a warning system that responds to intersections of markings and an all-round surveillance system, which allows, using cameras that display images on a 9-inch display, to control the road situation from all sides - the driver can even see what is under the wheels of the car. Thanks to these innovations, the influence of the “human factor” on road safety is minimized. And if an emergency situation on the road could not be avoided, then the “cruiser” will mitigate its consequences in every sense by providing 10 airbags.
