Questions: “How much does TLC weigh? What mass? According to statistics, wordstat.yandex.ru are popular. Therefore, there will be separate tables to answer them.

The material will also contain data on acceleration to 100 km/h, maximum speed, engine size and recommended fuel, and consumption.

Specifications

The technical characteristics of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 are impressive. Two versions of engines are installed under the hood: gasoline or diesel, and each of the engines assumes its own SUV qualities.

Safety

The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is accused of being old-fashioned and primitive - the Japanese company refuses to follow the latest trends. But the car’s security system is no worse than that of its contemporaries. She:

  • kinetically stabilizes the suspension (KDSS);
  • helps on off-road (Crawl Control) and climbing (HAC);
  • provides directional stability (VSC);

Control is facilitated by the traction control system (A-TRC). With this combination of safety measures, the likelihood of a rollover is minimized.

Batteries

The car has two batteries - 12 and 24 V. Northern Japan has cold winters, so some cars simply won’t start there. Taking this into account, the auto industry giant offered two batteries at once. The SUV can cope with any frost.

Transmission

An all-wheel drive hydromechanical transmission with a 6-speed automatic transmission propels the vehicle along any road. The petrol version accelerates to 195 km/h (from 0 to 100 in 8.6 seconds), the diesel version – up to 210.

Brakes

The brake discs on both pairs of wheels are ventilated. The following will help you avoid unnecessary worries due to braking:

  • anti-lock (ABS);
  • emergency stop (BAS);
  • electronic assistant (EBD).

The manufacturer has retained the handbrake: no electronic innovations - only timeless classics.

Other details

The wheels are covered with light alloy wheels with 285/60 R18 tires. Owners also install larger diameter tires, but the tire can rub against the body when driving and turning.

Windshield wipers are attached to hooks. The length of the driver's seat is 600 mm, the passenger's seat is 550 mm, and the rear seat's length is 300 mm. Frameless, hybrid and winter options are available. Mirrors with a heating function - they are not afraid of ice.

You can customize the technical characteristics of a car using drawings and LC diagrams with a detailed description of the change process, posted in the public domain. But it’s worth remembering: unauthorized intervention is fraught with problems with the dealer, so if the car is under warranty, it’s better not to risk it.

Salon interior.

The interior content of the new Land Cruiser has remained virtually unchanged, only the number of functions and options has increased, making the interior of the SUV as comfortable as possible. The dashboard has also changed slightly, and new shades have been added to the interior colors.

The developers have significantly increased the volume of the color display of the on-board computer, and the instruments on the panel received a new, more elegant edging and “Optitron” backlight. The multi-screen displays a lot of necessary and useful information: the status of all systems, gear engaged, fuel consumption and tire pressure.

The multi-steering wheel has a combined finish - a successful combination of wood and leather allowed the steering wheel to fit perfectly into the new exterior. By the way, the multifunction steering wheel is equipped with a convenient heating option. The driver's seat, rear-view mirrors and steering column change position using electronics, which stores the last three positions in memory and can set them automatically. An eight-inch EMV display is located on the center console, which is decorated with metallic inserts. The ventilation deflectors have not changed their shape or location, but have received a nice silver edging. The front seats have eight positions for adjustment and are equipped with ventilation and heating systems. The only thing the experts had questions about was the lack of lateral support. The comfortable, voluminous seats are almost flat, and on steep turns it is quite difficult for the passenger to stay in place.

Between the front seats in the central tunnel there is an armrest of simply impressive size - in some small cars the trunk is equal to its volume. There is a spacious cooling box inside the armrest. The rear seats are heated and have a personal climate control unit. You can also change the angle of the backrests or use longitudinal adjustment. The seats are comfortable and spacious, designed for a fun ride. The third row of seats is no longer so spacious - the limited space makes it comfortable only for short people or children. Adjustable backrests have three tilt angles.

The luggage compartment volume of the updated Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is 455 liters. With the second and third rows of passenger seats folded down, we get simply huge figures - as much as 2315 liters! The flat floor and the presence of fastenings make transportation of goods as smooth as possible.

Engines

Toyota offers two variants of the 8-cylinder V-engine: petrol and diesel.

The 4.6-liter gasoline engine is filled with 95-grade gasoline. The compression ratio is 10.2:1. The engine has two camshafts (DOHC) with a chain drive. The maximum power of this version of the TLK is 309 horses and 227 kW. Torque - 439 Nm.

The diesel capacity is 4.5 liters, the engine is supercharged. Fuel compression is 16.8:1. It has the same DOHC system as its petrol counterpart. Direct fuel injection works. In terms of power, the diesel engine is inferior to gasoline: 259 horsepower and 183 kW are stated as maximum results. Torque - 560 Nm.

Gasoline “burns” 18.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the city; 11.4 l. on the highway, 13.9 liters in mixed mode. Diesel consumption figures are lower: 12 on the urban cycle; 9.1 on the highway and 10.2 on the combined cycle. The SUV belongs to the Euro 5 class, so there will be no complaints about it even on the German autobahn. The massive frame is blamed for significant fuel costs: like other frame SUVs, the “cruiser” is quite “gluttonous”.

Updated Toyota Land Cruiser 200 disadvantages:

1) Practice shows that some drivers are not very happy with the decision to cover the interior with light-colored material.

2) The control of the heated front seats leaves some room for improvement; it is not entirely comfortable.

3) The instruments on the panel are located a little low, so you have to stretch forward and upward.

4) The steering column has a small range of adjustment.

5) Car maintenance prescribed by dealers occurs every 5,000 km.

6) The back of the chair does not provide proper back support, and there is poor lateral support.

7) High fuel consumption. Toyota land cruiser 200 fuel consumption diesel / petrol. The manufacturer promised gasoline fuel consumption of 11.4 liters , and 18.2 liters . But judging by the reviews of the owners, this is not true off-road and in city traffic jams fuel consumption can reach up to 25-30 liters, in the combined cycle - 22-25 liters . Diesel - on the highway it eats - 11-15 liters , in the city 17-19 liters .

8 ) It’s bad, it starts on a sandy slope, but in the wet ground it can fail under its own weight.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the Land Cruiser 200 are not too modest - you will need a rather large garage. The length of the 5-door SUV is 4.95 meters, width is 1.98. Wheelbase - 2.85 meters, front track - 1.65, rear - 1.645 m. The front overhang is lower than the rear: the difference is almost 3 cm. The height of the Land Cruiser 200 is 1.970 m. The distance from the bottom point to the ground is 230 millimeters.

The exterior of the car is impressive: the TLK looks aggressive, striking with its massiveness. In the new version of the SUV, which is due to hit the market in 2021, according to insiders, the bumper has been redesigned, making the appearance of the “Kruzak” even more ascetic and geometrically correct.

Trunk and interior

The TLC is not a car that will compromise the comfort of the driver and passengers. The interior uses leather, metal, wood and expensive-looking plastic. The dashboard screens are designed strictly and concisely, supporting the overall mood of the SUV. Multimedia is controlled from the 9-inch screen. The most important buttons, as in most modern cars, are duplicated on the steering wheel.

The front seats of the Kruzak easily adapt to the needs of the driver or passenger, but do not have lateral support. The rear ones are no less comfortable - there is enough space even for tall people. The backrest has an adjustable tilt angle. Some versions add an additional row of seats, although only children can feel comfortable on it - there is not too much free space. The interior length of the Land Cruiser 200 is 1965 mm, width is 1640, height is 1200. The seating position is quite high, which opens up a good viewing angle of the road. Some criticize the lack of a massage option for the seats, which is common in modern cars. Perhaps Toyota simply does not waste time on such trifles.

Depending on the presence of the third row of seats, the trunk dimensions of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 range from 259 to 909 liters. In the first version of the SUV (2007), its capacity was 701 liters. If you remove the second row of seats, the trunk increases to 1431 liters.

A pleasant surprise for SUV owners will be a USB connector in the trunk, which charges the passenger’s equipment from the rear row of seats.

Roof rails can be installed to increase cargo volume. This car is ready to transport anything.

Design.

At the front, the car is decorated with a massive bumper and new fog lights; generous chrome trim adds prestige. It’s worth talking about optics in more detail – xenon light and LED headlights have been added. The headlights have become larger and noticeably brighter. The total number of “lights” has also changed: the rear-view mirror housings are also equipped with LED repeaters for running lights. In general, the entire front of the SUV has become more powerful: the muscular lines of the grille are continued on the bumper, which has acquired impressive front arches. By the way, there are arches on the back, so they can safely be called a “feature” of the design of this model.

The dimensions of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 remain unchanged: length is 4950 mm, width - 1970 mm, height - 1950 mm, wheelbase - 2850 mm, and an impressive ground clearance of 225 mm.

In profile, the SUV looks almost the same as before the update, with only minor differences. Firstly, these are the LEDs already mentioned above on the side mirrors. Secondly, a protective molding trimmed in chrome appeared on the lower part of the car doors. Well, the third difference, useful and functional, is a fairly powerful footrest. It simultaneously performs two options: it makes it easier to get into the car and protects the lower part of the body from mechanical damage. By the way, it was the lack of a running board that raised questions among most users, because previously you had to literally jump into this tall SUV. We can say that the Japanese developers listened carefully to all the criticism and corrected the shortcomings.

The rear optics are also equipped with LEDs, and the side lights themselves have increased slightly and stretched along the body. It’s not for nothing that the Land Cruiser is called an SUV, in which every detail has at least one useful function - a rear view camera is hidden inside the Toyota logo. There were no other visible changes in the design of the rear part: the same huge rear compartment door, a spare tire hidden under the bottom and a massive spoiler. The door, as before, is not solid, but made of two parts, half of which is equipped with an electric drive.

Management and test drive results.

The considerable dimensions of the Land Cruiser 200 are by no means a drawback. Impressive and stable, it feels confident even on rough roads. He is compared to an elephant: reliable and calm, but not tolerant of recklessness. “Kruzak” does not favor sharp turns and drifts: yes, it can handle them, but it will sway noticeably, unnerving the careless driver. During sharp braking, the TLK will noticeably jerk forward, and during unexpected acceleration it will press the reckless driver into the seat, “squatting” on the rear axle.

Cruise control deserves special attention. On the highway, the autopilot works flawlessly, without panicking when other cars appear and measuredly changing lanes from line to line if necessary. No unnecessary braking, no unnecessary acceleration - everything works like a clock. This splendor ends at a speed of 50 km/h - Toyota does not allow city driving without driver participation.

The steering wheel may seem too numb. The car will respond to turns only if the steering wheel is turned at a large angle. Light fiddling back and forth will not cause any reaction from the cruiser. In some ways, this is even convenient - accidental repetitions are excluded.
