A minivan with a bright appearance, the Toyota Alphard 2021 is being sold in Russia in its third generation. Design features allow it to be used as a car for work or for a large family. In addition, an independent MacPherson strut was installed on the front suspension, and an independent suspension with double wishbones was installed at the rear. The ground clearance has increased, which currently stands at 160 mm.

The minivan in the Russian version is available with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which in previous versions was designated as 2GR-FE, producing 280 horsepower, this time it is given the name 2GR-FKS with an output of 301 hp. and 361 Nm of torque. Together with them, an 8-speed automatic transmission is installed instead of a 6-speed one. Only front-wheel drive is available in the local market. You can buy a minivan with an all-wheel drive transmission with an electronic clutch.
In addition, a 2.5-liter “four” with a CVT, producing 152 “horses,” is presented at home. Fans of the hybrid power plant did not go unnoticed, where three additional electric motors with a power of 143+68 horsepower relative to the axles appeared.
Security systems have become even more secure. Thus, the new version installs the second generation proprietary Safety Sense system. Thus, when purchasing, you can count on the appearance of tracking of pedestrians, cyclists, and recognition of road signs.

Already in the basic version all possible optics with LEDs are provided: headlights, DRLs, fog lights, lights. A brake light, light sensors, and rain sensors come to their aid.

In this version, the door handles are painted in body color and open electrically. The glass has factory tinting and UV protection. The roof has a double adjustable sunroof. A small spoiler appeared on the rear. Metallic paint is available exclusively as an optional extra.

Additionally, an air ionizer is installed in the cabin.
Executive lounge and Suite
Executive lounge version will cost the buyer 5,033,000 rubles. Unlike the previous configuration, 18-inch aluminum wheels are installed. The kit includes ERA-GLONASS, DVD-audio, 17 speakers instead of 8, a navigation system, a monitor for passengers, and individual reading lamps for passengers. The second row gets ventilated seats, sunshades, pull-out tables and coat hooks. Lux version increases the price tag to 5,119,000 rubles by increasing the load capacity to 450 kg.

Interior of the new Toyota Alphard
The interior of the car has retained almost all the classic features of Toyota cars. The instrument panel is quite spacious, ergonomic and allows the driver to quickly and easily obtain all the information he needs.
The center console also deserves a positive review, which, like the dashboard, is also convenient, functional and attractive. By the way, the first thing that catches your eye when examining it is the audio-video complex with a fairly massive display, as well as controls for the ventilation and air conditioning system.
In order to maximally emphasize the premium nature of the new product, high-quality expensive finishing materials were used in the interior decoration: natural wood, aluminum, and semi-aniline leather.
Confirms the high class of the car and the quality of fit of all parts. Absolutely all parts and elements are precisely connected to each other; any bevels or irregularities are completely absent.
Among other things, the new product stands out for its truly well-thought-out organization of the entire internal space, which allows six people to comfortably fit in the car (excluding the driver). Also, to ensure maximum comfort, the seats in the first and second rows are equipped with backrest adjustment systems and longitudinal position adjustment systems. The third passenger row can accommodate three adult passengers without any problems.
The car's interior has nine available transformation variations. For example, when folding the rear passenger sofa, the car owner can increase the luggage compartment to 1.9 thousand liters.
Design
The appearance of the minivan attracts attention, since from the front side it is not even clear whether it belongs to the brand. The fact is that instead of the company nameplate, the model’s brand emblem is used here. Of course, the Japanese are already accustomed to such a manifestation, but for Russia such a designation is new.
- In the front there is a muscular bumper, complex edges and large foglights. All this is generously studded with chrome.
- The side showcases unusual glazing with a striking upward slope. Not to mention the stylish small spoiler on the rear.
- The stern received zigzag lights, but the “running” turn signals remained untouched.
The cabin can accommodate 7 or 8 people. Only top-end configurations have arrived on the Russian market, so you can be sure of maximum comfort. The luxurious design boasts second-row ventilation and quality materials. The price tag could be predicted by the silver inserts, the large screen in the center and the on-board computer with a diagonal of 4.2 inches.

The radiator grille, massive for this class of car, almost completely replicates the style used on Lexus models. The car's headlights have LED light sources, while the daytime running lights are shaped like the letter "J". The overall picture is complemented by a fairly massive front bumper, which has a decidedly sporty character.
In profile, Toyota Alphard looks solid, stylish and reliable. Here one cannot help but notice the reverse slope of the roof pillar, as well as the “absence” of the rear pillar.
