I have been choosing this car for 4 years. It all started with an acquaintance with its predecessor, the TOYOTA CAMRY 40, initially there was a desire to take this particular generation with a 3.5 engine, about 280 horses and acceleration to hundreds in 6.8 seconds. It cannot be said that the TOYOTA CAMRY is a sports car, but the 40 drove very confidently, and its consumption was less than that of a similar model with a 2.4 engine. This was what impressed me in the first place. Secondly, the cost of spare parts is very low, comparable to SKODA, and possibly cheaper. In addition, you practically won’t have to buy these spare parts, you’ll mostly need to change consumables and the car will serve you for a long time and faithfully. BUT... as often happens, life has made its own adjustments - finding this car for sale in good condition is almost impossible, it took me 2 years to find month, during which I got tired of driving a replacement car. About $200 was spent on diagnosing potential applicants. The secret is simple - there are a lot of cars with a 2.4 engine, 3.5, basically all were taken to companies where no one spared them, and if exceptions happened and they came across a caring and careful driver, then these machines are implemented by management among their own colleagues. There is no end to those interested. And then, just in time, the 50th shift arrived and I decided to look into the salon to clarify the price. After taking it for a test drive, I realized that I had to take it. The new generation is definitely better than the previous one; if the comfort and smoothness of the ride were excellent in the previous body, then no one liked the interior in the 40. The dynamics of the 2.5 liter are definitely faster than those of the 2.4. More details about everything below:

INTERIOR AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT The interior is spacious and made of leather, the profile of the seats is much better designed than in the previous model, the back is supported better, I went on trips of 1000+ km, there is no fatigue at all, I was surprised, but really neither my back nor my neck hurts at all. Just like found in TOYOTAS, everything is at hand and large. Noise insulation is 4 minus, but acceptable. Joysticks for controlling mirrors have not changed for 10 years; they are similar on 30 and on Kruzaks and Lexuses in the mid-thousandths. In short, everything is very clear, reliable and verified over years of use. Everything works properly and as you expect. The screen is a decent size touch screen, I got used to it in a couple of days, it’s really convenient to use, there is a built-in function for connecting the phone via bluetooth and outputting dialogue to the audio system, very convenient. The audio system is not outstanding, but you can listen to it, I don’t think I’ll change it yet, if the recording is good, then everything is ok. If you try to connect the phone while driving, nothing will work, she doesn’t want to put you in danger, this can only be done while parked. All sorts of additional things can be configured through the screen, for example, I set the doors to close when driving from 20 km, so that no one jumps into the car when you stop at a traffic light, and someone decides to look for your bag in the back seat. When you turn on the parking on the box, the doors open automatically. Respect for the armrest, they finally made it normal, in the 40 I went back and forth and didn’t lock it, there is a lock here, and it’s wide and soft. The plastic in the cabin is mostly soft, the stitching on the top panel is like leather, well looks normal))) somewhat mongrel, but what can you do. If you need thoroughbred, this is for the German big three, and not for TOYOTA at all, this is not only about the CAMRY, here the wood-like plastic is questionable and the color scheme of all the buttons and the combination of all this with “aluminum” on the box. But much better than the last one, just head over heels. The convenient heating knobs are in an accessible place, I focus on this, because before I met the NISSAN TEANA, I thought that it was self-evident, nothing like that - in TEANA, after a long search, the buttons for controlling the heating of the fifth point were found in the armrest, inside? ????WTF???The optitron instrument scale works in an interesting way; it is a very pleasant white color; when entering a tunnel, it dims the light so as not to dazzle; when you drive out, it shines brightly again. There is a rain sensor and it works properly, there are no complaints about the climate system I called, everything is ok. What is missing here, as for me, is seat memory, even if it’s optional, well, everyone probably knows how the Japanese treat options, this is the case with Europeans. The salon manager said that if they installed seat memory here, it would turn out to be a LEXUS, but the TOYOTA AVALON has it. And it would also be great to have heated wipers, because they become covered with ice once or twice and this is annoying, because they let large areas of glass. A wiper on the rear window would be nice, I had one on my OCTAVIA - it was very convenient. There was a small problem with the steering wheel squeaking, there was some kind of belt inside that was creaking, making very plaintive squeaky sounds - they changed it under warranty, some kind of childhood illness auto.

SUSPENSION:

There are simply no complaints here, if you don’t expect sporty composure, but gravitate towards comfort - you’ve come to the right place, no knocks, creaks, etc.

ENGINE:

I personally really like it, when driving very fast it doesn’t consume more than 13 liters, but in general it’s realistically within 11 liters in the city, on the highway it’s generally 7 - 8 liters, personal record 6.2 liters. 182 horses make themselves felt, if I need more power on the track, I switch to manual mode

COMFORT AND SAFETY:
