Improvement of the technical part of Camry 55

The Toyota Camry XV55 was equipped with three petrol engines: 2.0 6AR-FSE, 2.5 2AR-FE and V6 3.5 2GR-FE.
The engines are all naturally aspirated, so you shouldn’t expect a significant increase in power after chip tuning. If the masters promise that after reflashing the engine ECU, the horsepower will increase by 50 - 60, don’t believe it anymore. The power increase will be 10 – 12%, i.e. in the case of the 2.0 6AR-FSE engine plus 15 horsepower, the 2.5 2AR-FE engine will produce not 181, but a maximum of 200 hp. Chip tuning of the V6 3.5 2GR-FE in the case of the Camry is not advisable; the available power of 249 horsepower is abundant for the front-wheel drive sedan. Engine 2.0 6AR

We will tell you in detail about installing a double muffler on the Camry 55. There is one muffler on the Camry 2.5 2AR-FE, and a double muffler on cars with a V6 3.5 2GR-FE, and many owners of cars with a 2.5 engine want to install a double muffler.

In China and the United Arab Emirates, the Camry 2.5 is sold with two “pipes,” which is explained by the milder climate.

One option is to buy another muffler and use a grinder and welding to make a double exhaust. But this approach has several significant disadvantages. Firstly, a car modified in this way will lose its warranty, and secondly, no one can say for sure how such an improvement will affect the engine.

The second approach is to build a proper dual exhaust system by ordering parts for a Camry 55 for the Chinese market. Required components:

The price of such tuning will be approximately 34 - 40 thousand rubles, but the car will retain the factory warranty and the engine will work correctly.
