Warranty

The warranty for a Toyota vehicle covers defects related to the quality of workmanship or materials that arose during the manufacture of the vehicle or its operation. The vehicle warranty is valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date the new Toyota vehicle is delivered to the first owner or until the vehicle reaches 100,000 km, whichever occurs first. Guarantee against through corrosion and on the paintwork of the car body

Warranty for hybrid components

The components of the hybrid system, such as the high-voltage battery, the electronic control unit (ECU) of the high-voltage battery, the ECU of the hybrid system, the converter-inverter of the hybrid system, are guaranteed by the manufacturer for a period of 5 years from the date of delivery of the new Toyota vehicle to the first owner, or 100,000 km. , whichever comes first. Moreover, in case of repair by replacing the specified components of the hybrid installation under warranty, a warranty period is established for the new component of the hybrid installation equal to the period of time between the date of its installation on the vehicle and the expiration date of the warranty period for the corresponding replaced component of the hybrid installation.

Spare parts warranty

Original Toyota spare parts purchased from the Dealer are guaranteed from the date of purchase of the spare parts until the expiration of 12 months (1 year), regardless of mileage. The owner has the right to make claims related to defects in spare parts only during the warranty period for original Toyota spare parts. This warranty does not cover non-original spare parts, as well as defects resulting from the use of non-original spare parts.

Accessory Warranty

Original Toyota accessories purchased from a Dealer are provided with a Warranty from the date of purchase of Original Toyota Accessories until the expiration of the warranty period for the Toyota vehicle, but not less than 12 months (1 year). The owner has the right to make claims related to defects in original Toyota accessories only during the warranty period for the accessories. The use of non-genuine accessories may reduce the performance, safety and durability of your Toyota vehicle and may not satisfy your warranty claims.

Delivery for repairs

In the event of a malfunction of a Toyota car, as a result of which further travel becomes unsafe or impossible, the Owner’s costs for transporting the car to the nearest Toyota dealer in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus will be compensated, provided that the malfunction is recognized as covered by warranty.

Guarantee period

  • operation, transportation, storage, maintenance and servicing of Toyota vehicles must be carried out in full accordance with the owner's manual and warranty service manual;
  • create an archive of documents, including invoices and checks, work orders, certificates of work performed, records of the installation of spare parts and accessories related to the maintenance and purchase of a car, which serves as confirmation of the timely completion of maintenance in full;
  • Carry out an independent vehicle inspection before each trip, according to the instructions in the warranty service manual;
  • If any types of malfunctions are detected, you should consult with the Dealer, avoid attempts to move for safety reasons;
  • periodic and additional maintenance must comply with the manufacturer’s schedule, technology and recommendations;
  • Scheduled maintenance is carried out at an official Toyota Dealer, the odometer readings are preliminarily read, the data may differ from those recommended by the car owner's manual, upward, but not more than 250 km.

In September 2015, I became the owner of a TOYOTA CAMRY V-50. 2012 V. VIN XW7BF4FK10S013070. I wanted a new V-55, but due to the crisis there wasn’t enough money at that time ((I took the V-50 with the desire to exchange it for a new one in a couple of years. Upon purchase, I was given an extended warranty for this car for a year, and was given a certificate) How chic just shine!)

The warranty period is currently valid. I was happy to drive and blew away specks of dust) With a mileage of 97,800 km. There were problems with the automatic transmission. 07/11/2016 I contacted Toyota Yasenevo with this problem. Diagnostics revealed problems with the torque converter, that the oil in the automatic transmission corresponds to the level and is in normal condition, as indicated in order No. 15739725 dated July 11, 2016. The dealer, based on the diagnostic results, sent somewhere a request for a warranty replacement. A warranty replacement was refused with the wording “failure to comply with vehicle maintenance regulations at an official dealer.” That is, if the car has been serviced (which any smart engineer can determine), but not at the dealer, then there is no guarantee? But what about clause 1 of Article 16 of the Federal Law on Labor Protection, where it is written in black and white that the terms of the contract that infringe on the rights of the consumer in comparison with the rules established by laws or other legal acts of the Russian Federation in the field of consumer protection are declared invalid...

The machine was operated without violation of operating rules. There is no justification that I am to blame for the breakdown. I’ll say more, when I first called the Toyota dealer Yasenevo and described the symptoms, I was told right away that this was a breakdown of the torque converter and that this was “a disease of these automatic transmissions.” All consumables and technical fluids were replaced in accordance with the regulations. Again, any expert will determine that the car has been properly maintained!

I am not involved in consumer extremism and would not insist on warranty repairs if it was my fault. I soberly assess the situation and KNOW that the breakdown is not my fault! I simply wouldn’t apply if it were my own fault...

At the moment, an appeal has been sent to the support service and to VK. We must pay tribute, they responded to the appeal instantly! Well done!!! I didn't even expect it! And you know what’s interesting: I was informed from the dealership that the extended warranty didn’t seem to be provided by Toyota, but by some kind of partner))

I don’t understand, I went to the official dealer, they gave the car a printout from the national. Toyota base, the car was bought from this dealer, serviced and traded in there, plus you also get a one-year warranty from the date of purchase!) Well, how can you not buy a car under such conditions, although it is at minimum wage, and for the same money could have been bought stuffed, even if not from a dealer... But you buy from a dealer, and on such conditions you buy, you are happy and are sure that everything will be as in the slogan “Drive your dream!” ... It turns out that until the need arises to address the problem...

I repeat once again, I came to the Toyota company, I don’t want to know the internal kitchen, how everything works there and who is responsible for what... Transferring responsibility to partners or employees is at least not solid, especially for such a brand!!! In general, at the moment I am waiting for the verdict... I will make comments further.

07/16/16 dealers called back. And again the refusal is for the same reason: you were not serviced by us, at 80,000 the automatic transmission is checked, we would have found the problem... At this MOT, the condition and oil level of the automatic transmission is checked, EVERYTHING, nothing else is done with the automatic transmission. And, well, yes, they still see errors)!! If there are no customer complaints, no one will look deeper, but on this run everything was fine... Or does every car go for a drive and the technician checks it while driving? Well, fantastic! Or does someone remove the automatic transmission and climb inside? Well, then what if you change the oil in the engine and don’t go there every time? No one could have prevented this problem even if they wanted to!!! Well, I didn’t want to write anything bad, honestly!! But the mood from TOYOTA's policy makes...

Actually, why buy a used car from a dealer if:

1.after the purchase, the brake discs were found to be beating, they sent me with a guarantee and offered to sharpen them... I bought new ones, I didn’t want to get involved under the impression of the new car..;

2. the car was painted, the hood and trunk were under warranty from the previous owner;

3. comparison of the cost of maintenance 60.80 90 t.km without taking into account minor repairs and replacement of consumables is an order of magnitude higher if the car is serviced, I note, with high quality, in a non-certified service station, even taking into account automatic transmission repairs. Naturally, in my case, we don’t take options when the car is destroyed...

4.opportunity to buy a car with a richer configuration for the same money + a set of wheels. An examination of the purchased car costs about 10,000 rubles. per day, regardless of the number of views...

5. creaking of the steering cable, which is removed by replacing the cable.. cost about 30,000 rubles... No one guesses to lubricate)))

6. crickets all over the cabin and a COMPLETE absence of noise... It’s already ear-filling...

7. creaking of the driver's seat, which can be removed only by adjusting the seat in a certain way)) well, it’s funny, adjusting the seat not to suit you, but so that it doesn’t creak)))

Warranty service for TOYOTA cars

Warranty repairs (maintenance) means repairs (maintenance) performed during the warranty period at no charge to the owner in accordance with the terms of the warranty in order to eliminate a defect in the vehicle, body, paintwork, spare parts caused by defects in materials or workmanship during the production of a Toyota vehicle, if such defect is covered by the Warranty.

Warranty conditions. Warranties are provided only if you purchase a new Toyota vehicle from an authorized Toyota dealer. The warranty period for a Toyota car is 3 years or 100,000 km , whichever comes first.

Warranty on body and paintwork. The manufacturer guarantees during the warranty period the absence of through corrosion and manufacturing defects in the paintwork of the body of a new Toyota car, provided that its owner complies with the rules and requirements for caring for the body and paintwork specified in the owner's manual.

Warranty for spare parts. The warranty period for spare parts is 12 months from the date of purchase of Original Toyota spare parts, regardless of the mileage of the Toyota vehicle. The warranty is provided for Original Toyota spare parts purchased from an Official Toyota Dealer. The warranty does not cover non-original spare parts, as well as defects resulting from the use of non-original spare parts.

Delivery for repairs. The Warranty covers delivery (towing or towing) of the Toyota vehicle to the nearest Authorized Dealer or authorized partner for repair if: the Owner's requirements are covered by the Warranty; and the Toyota car cannot move under its own power or further travel becomes unsafe.

The warranty does not apply to:

– the cost of work, spare parts and materials necessary to carry out the periodic maintenance plan for the vehicle; – violation of the frequency of maintenance work established by the manufacturer, reflected in the owner’s manual;

– xenon lamps, worn tires (tire warranty is provided by the tire manufacturer);

– adjusting the engine, wheel alignment angles, lubrication and cleaning of components, parts and assemblies;

– replacement of filters and filter elements, incandescent lamps, coolant and other technical and operating fluids, spark plugs, fuses;

– worn out wiper blades, brake pads and discs, drive belts, clutch discs;

– polishing, cleaning and anti-corrosion treatments;

– repairs, adjustments and replacements of components, assemblies, parts of a Toyota car, the need for which arose as a result of violations of the rules for operating a Toyota car as set out in the owner’s manual;

– repairs caused by the absence, deficiency or improper maintenance of a Toyota vehicle;

– fuel, lubricants, coolants and other operating fluids;

– tires (tire warranty is provided by the tire manufacturer);

– natural noise and vibrations;

– aging, discoloration and fading of the paintwork, as well as contamination, abrasions and deformation;

Responsibilities of Toyota car owners:

1. When visiting an official Toyota dealer, present the warranty service manual in all cases where warranty repairs are necessary;

2. Carry out warranty repairs on a Toyota vehicle only at an official Toyota dealer;

3. Operate, maintain, store, transport and maintain a Toyota vehicle in accordance with the Warranty Service Manual;

4. Promptly provide the Toyota vehicle to the Official Dealer for basic and additional technical maintenance on the Toyota vehicle, in accordance with the recommendations given in the owner’s manual;
