Adaptive light implies a lighting system that allows you to change the direction of the flow of headlights simultaneously with a change in the direction of movement of the car. For the first time this function was created and used on their own cars by engineers from the German Volkswagen.

Thanks to the use of this option when driving in the dark, the level of safety of both vehicle passengers and other road users increases. Using the ability to automatically adjust the light flow frees the driver from the need for manual position adjustments. Thanks to the joint work of the lighting system with other components and services of the vehicle while driving, the operating mode of the headlights itself is adjusted, as well as the brightness level of the vehicle optics.

As a rule, adaptive light can greatly simplify the process of driving in the following situations:

When driving on an open highway with the high beams on and gradually approaching oncoming traffic, the driver must manually switch from high to low beams. Thanks to the existence of an adaptive system, there is no need for manual transitions between different types of lighting. This function independently performs the transition between high and low beam;
Driving along a winding section of the road in the dark involves making frequent turns, and the illumination of the road in this case will be poor. Thanks to the use of this service, the driver receives a fully illuminated road on which any objects will be visible.
