Toyota auris bolt pattern. Toyota Auris size of rims, tires, wheels, tires

Japanese Toyota cars are widespread on domestic roads and enjoy great popular love. They serve their owners for many years, with excellent driving characteristics, reliability and quality. The article will talk about the bolt pattern of Toyota models, as well as the features of the wheels, disks and tires installed on these cars.

The 2008 Toyota Corolla belongs to the 10th generation, which was produced until 2012 in a sedan body. This is one of the most popular Toyota cars on modern Russian roads. Drivers value this model primarily for comfort, convenience, handling and reliability. Wheel replacement is usually necessary to replace factory iron wheels with cast or forged ones for decorative purposes. Tires are replaced with the change of seasons and as the tires wear out.

"Toyota Corolla"

In the Toyota Corolla E 150, the wheel bolt pattern is made according to a pattern of five holes located in a circle with a diameter of 114.3 mm, designated as 5x114.3.

In the tenth generation of Corolla, five disc options are available with this drilling pattern:

  • 6JxR15 ET39;
  • 6.5JxR16 ET45;
  • 6.5JxR15 ET39;
  • 7JxR16 ET45;
  • 7JxR17 ET45.

On a note.

The width of the discs varies from 6 to 7 inches, the size of the disc from 15 to 17 inches. Overhangs are available in 39 mm and 45 mm options. All types of these discs have a single rim flange shape - J and have a radial design type - R.

For the 2008 Toyota Corolla, the manufacturer provides five tire sizes:

  • 195-65 R15 91H;
  • 195-60 R15 88T;
  • 205-55 R16 91V;
  • 215-45 ZR17 87W;
  • 225-45 R17 93V.

Tires for the Corolla have diameters of 15, 16 and 17 inches. The diversity in tire models comes from load and speed indices; all models differ in them. Regardless of the listed features, the manufacturer recommends an optimal tire pressure of 2.2 atm.

Toyota Corolla bolt pattern

If we talk about the ground clearance of the 2008 Corolla, it is 15 cm, which, according to reviews, suits all drivers. The length of the wheelbase is 2.6 m. The Corolla's bolt pattern is similar to that of the Toyota Auris and their wheels can be interchangeable.

How discs are marked

Each disc has an individual marking indicating:

•disc diameter;

•its width;

•number of holes for mounting to the hub;

•diameter of a conventional circle passing through the axes of these holes;

•disc ejection.

Wheel rim bolt pattern compatibility table

Let's look at an example of full marking 9JX16 Н2 5/112 ET 35 D 66.6

9 – disk width (in inches);

J – designation indicating that the disk is intended for a one-wheel drive car (wheels for all-wheel drive vehicles are designated by two letters JJ);

X – disc manufacturing method (cast);

16 – installation diameter (in inches);

H2 – marking indicating the number of annular protrusions holding the tubeless tire (2);

5/112 – number of mounting holes/diameter of the circle on which they are located (bolt pattern);

ET 35 – disc offset value (in millimeters);

D 66.6 – diameter of the central (hub) hole of the disk.

Generation 2

In 2013, the Japanese automaker introduced the second generation of Toyota Auris. The model embodied the new face of the brand. The hatchback received a sharp look (Keen Look) due to the long and narrow headlights that merge into the radiator grille. When consumers saw the car, their attention was immediately focused on the lower part thanks to the large trapezoidal air intake. The design of Toyota Auris II turned out to be more dynamic and reflected changes in the company's philosophy. The brand’s management decided to undertake such a facelift in order to attract a young audience. The new profile has become even more modern due to the sloping shape of the hood, a rear pillar consisting of 3 corners, and slightly rolled-up A-pillars.

The dimensions of the model have also changed. Toyota Auris II was lengthened by 30 mm (the wheelbase and width remained the same). The ground clearance has decreased slightly (by 10 mm). The second generation “lost weight” by 10 kg compared to its predecessor, which had a positive effect on the efficiency of the model.

Significant changes have also taken place in the interior. For the interior decoration, the manufacturer chose higher quality materials, complemented by unusual inserts that imitate metal. The thickness of the steering wheel has been increased. Instead of a yellow backlight, a blue one appeared. High-quality sound insulation completed the overall picture.

Already in the basic configuration there is an electric drive for adjusting the support of the driver’s belt, 16-inch wheels, a USB input, a central armrest, a hill start assistant and climate control.

Wheel and tire sizes

Toyota Auris II assembled in Turkey was supplied to Russia. On the domestic market they are available only in a hatchback body with the following types of units:

1.3-liter gasoline engine (99 hp):

  • 6J wheels on 15 ET39, tires – 195/65R15;
  • 6.5J wheels on 16 ET45, tires – 205/55R16.

How to determine bolt pattern

Each make and model of car has individual bolt pattern parameters. There are special tables for this, based on which you can select disks.

If it is not possible to use tables, or if your car is not included in them, you can determine the bolt pattern yourself. To do this, we count the number of holes for mounting the disk. The first parameter is there. Determining the diameter of the circle on which the holes are located is a little more difficult.

For disks with 3 holes, measure the distance between the walls of adjacent holes and multiply it by 1.155. The result obtained will be the desired diameter.

For disks with four-point mounting, measure the gap between the walls of opposite holes and multiply it by 1.414.

For five-bolt wheels, measure the distance between the two farthest holes through one, and multiply by 1.701.

Tire size for Toyota

Different Toyota models have different tire sizes. They depend on the size of the wheels, rims, wheel bolt pattern, and parameters of the car’s wheel arches. Tires are replaced regularly by the owners. Below we will consider suitable tire sizes for some of the Toyota models.

Selection of tires and wheels for Toyota Auris 2010

In the vast majority of cases, selecting tires and wheels for the Toyota Auris 2010 allows you to significantly reduce the time spent searching for a suitable option.

After all, this option allows you to do without studying the extensive assortment of the Mosavtoshina online store, represented by several thousand items. At the same time, making a mistake when choosing one or another option is extremely high. After all, this requires car owners to have sufficiently deep knowledge in this area, which most of them try to avoid. To use all the capabilities of our automatic selection system, you only need to know the make, model and year of manufacture of your car. This information is indicated in literally a few clicks of the computer mouse on the corresponding inscriptions on the screen. This seemingly meager information is enough for the automated system to select at least several options that exactly comply with the car manufacturer’s recommendations.

Toyota Auris is a compact C-class car. This model is a typical family hatchback with high practicality and dynamic characteristics. The name "Auris" fully reflects the character of the car. It is derived from the Latin word “aurum” (translated as “gold”).

The model is positioned as a city car, but is not afraid of long trips. Consumers highly appreciate the maneuverability and controllability of the Toyota Auris. In addition, the hatchback interior is multifunctional, comfortable and can accommodate up to 5 passengers.

The competitors of the Japanese product are considered to be Opel Astra, Nissan Tiida, Ford Focus, Renault Megane and Peugeot 308.

The Toyota Auris premiered in the fall of 2006. The car received an expressive design created by specialists from the Toyota ED2 center. The predecessor of the model is the Corolla hatchback. In comparison, Auris has gained weight and size. The car was endowed with an expressive and swift design, which is designed for a young audience. The model was equipped with large front lights and an interesting radiator grille.

The interior of the first Toyota Auris was thought out as much as possible. The developers have ergonomically located the controls and allocated enough space for passengers and the driver. Trunk volume has increased to 354 liters. The driver's seat has been prudently moved back to create more balanced driving conditions. The steering wheel was adjustable in several directions, which also added comfort. The lines of the center console flowed smoothly into the main dashboard. Soft fabric and silver trim add luxury to the interior.

Tire and wheel sizes

The model received a wide range of power plants. However, on the Russian market, Toyota Auris was offered exclusively with 2 types of engines:

1.4-liter gasoline engine (97 hp):

  • 6J wheels on 15 ET39 (6 – width in inches, 15 – diameter in inches, 39 – positive offset in mm), tires – 195/65R15 (195 – tire width in mm, 65 – profile height in %, 15 – rim diameter in inches);

1.6-liter gasoline unit (124 hp):

  • 6.5J wheels on 16 ET45, tires – 205/55R16.

Other wheel parameters include:

  • PCD (drilling) – 5 by 114.3 (5 is the number of holes, 114.3 is the diameter of the circle on which they are located in mm);
  • fasteners – M12 by 1.5 (12 – stud diameter in mm, 1.5 – thread size);
  • the diameter of the central hole is 60.1 mm.
  • Tire pressure: 2.3 bar

In the basic version, the hatchback was equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. For the 1.6-liter engine, a robotic transmission was optionally offered.

In 2010, the model underwent a slight restyling. The car has a new grille, larger headlights and a revised hood design. The exterior of the Toyota Auris has become more aggressive, and the build quality has improved. There have been virtually no changes in the interior (the center console has been updated, new finishing materials have appeared for the instrument panel). The list of basic options has also increased.

Along with the change in appearance, the range of engines was also revised. Now it has been compiled:

1.3-liter petrol unit (101 hp):

  • 6.5J wheels on 16 ET45, tires – 205/55R16.

1.6-liter gasoline engine (124 hp):

  • 6.5J wheels on 16 ET45, tires – 205/55R16.

1.6-liter petrol engine (132 hp):

  • 7J wheels on 17 ET50, tires – 225/45R17;
  • 6.5J wheels on 16 ET45, tires – 205/55R16.

At the minimum, a 6-speed manual was installed. A 4-speed automatic transmission was available as an option.

Toyota Auris was produced at factories in the UK and Turkey.

Selection of wheels for Toyota Auris

Select your year of manufacture to find suitable wheels for your Toyota Auris in the directory. Suitable means those that are offered by the official technical documentation. At the same time, the set of recommended wheels for Toyota Auris takes into account all types of brake systems that are installed on the car, depending on its configuration.

The selection offers stamped and alloy wheels for Toyota Auris. Prices for stamped (steel) models are lower due to inexpensive raw materials and less resource-intensive production. The higher price for cast (light alloy) models is primarily a price for an attractive design.

Wheel sizes (rims/tires) for Toyota Auris 1.8 hybrid 2010

There is a Toyota Auris 1.8 hybrid 2010. On the B-pillar, the recommended wheel pressures are for R17 (215/45R17) only. The instructions indicate the dimensions for R17 and R15 (the picture is in French, but everything is intuitive): - wheels 17 x 7 J; tires 215/45R17 (as on the B-pillar) - wheels 15 x 6 J; tires 195/65R15

The questions are: 1. Why is the information on the middle pillar different from the information in the instructions - what to believe? 2. Why is there no information about R16 wheels (since R15 and R17 are possible)? 3. Actually, what disc radii are suitable: only R17, R15 and R17, R15 - R17?

Thank you very much in advance!

Everything is not so complicated here. On the middle pillar the recommended pressures of the wheels that are installed from the factory are indicated, which is why it is indicated only for the R17

The instructions indicate dimensions for R17 and R15 - which means engineers assume these dimensions are optimal

Next, open a “tire calculator” on the Internet, enter the factory size 215x45 R17 as the initial value. And in the second window, enter your “wish lists” and see that there are not too many discrepancies with the original. Roughly speaking, smaller rim means taller tire

Thanks for your reply, Old-tech. Yes, I’m not saying that there is anything complicated here in general. I don't understand the physical restrictions on the radius of the disks. For me, if you can put smaller wheels, then I will put them less for pragmatic reasons about the price (smaller disk => lower price of the entire wheel).

I could assume, for example, that since the car is a hybrid, the parts of the brake system on the wheel physically take up more space, and therefore the minimum disc size is R17. Judging by the instructions, this is not so, since one of the optimal sizes is R15. And I would be happy to install an R15, for reasons of price, and the ride will be softer.

At the same time, here the owner of a similar Auris wrote that he could not install the R15 because “the diameter of the brake discs did not allow it” - how is this possible if the instructions indicate one of the optimal sizes for R15?

At this point, I have already ordered R16 wheels - at the time of ordering the wheels, I did not yet physically have a car, and had to rely on the catalog from the wheel company. At the same time, judging by the instructions, R16 is “not optimal” - it’s not even in the instructions.

Actually the questions: 1. Is it possible to install R16 wheels that have already been ordered on this car? 2. Is it possible to install R15 wheels on this car, which will reduce the cost of the wheel - then I would re-order it. It would be a shame if I re-ordered an R15 and the rims physically turned out to be too small.
