In 2013, the Japanese automaker introduced the second generation of Toyota Auris. The model embodied the new face of the brand. The hatchback received a sharp look (Keen Look) due to the long and narrow headlights that merge into the radiator grille. Toyota Auris II assembled in Turkey was supplied to Russia. On the domestic market they are available only in a hatchback body with the following types of units:
1.3-liter gasoline engine (99 hp):
- 6J wheels on 15 ET39, tires – 195/65R15;

How to determine bolt pattern
Each make and model of car has individual bolt pattern parameters. There are special tables for this, based on which you can select disks.
If it is not possible to use tables, or if your car is not included in them, you can determine the bolt pattern yourself. To do this, we count the number of holes for mounting the disk. The first parameter is there. Determining the diameter of the circle on which the holes are located is a little more difficult.
For disks with 3 holes, measure the distance between the walls of adjacent holes and multiply it by 1.155. The result obtained will be the desired diameter.
For disks with four-point mounting, measure the gap between the walls of opposite holes and multiply it by 1.414.
For five-bolt wheels, measure the distance between the two farthest holes through one, and multiply by 1.701.

Thanks for your reply, Old-tech. Yes, I’m not saying that there is anything complicated here in general. I don't understand the physical restrictions on the radius of the disks. For me, if you can put smaller wheels, then I will put them less for pragmatic reasons about the price (smaller disk => lower price of the entire wheel).
I could assume, for example, that since the car is a hybrid, the parts of the brake system on the wheel physically take up more space, and therefore the minimum disc size is R17. Judging by the instructions, this is not so, since one of the optimal sizes is R15. And I would be happy to install an R15, for reasons of price, and the ride will be softer.
At the same time, here the owner of a similar Auris wrote that he could not install the R15 because “the diameter of the brake discs did not allow it” - how is this possible if the instructions indicate one of the optimal sizes for R15?
At this point, I have already ordered R16 wheels - at the time of ordering the wheels, I did not yet physically have a car, and had to rely on the catalog from the wheel company. At the same time, judging by the instructions, R16 is “not optimal” - it’s not even in the instructions.
Actually the questions: 1. Is it possible to install R16 wheels that have already been ordered on this car? 2. Is it possible to install R15 wheels on this car, which will reduce the cost of the wheel - then I would re-order it. It would be a shame if I re-ordered an R15 and the rims physically turned out to be too small.
