The first thing that chip tuning affects on a Toyota Camry is an increase in power to 50-75 “horses”. Quite a lot, right? Next, we increase the torque. The size of the “growth” ranges from 5-20%. It all depends on the program that is selected for tuning. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced - about 1.5 liters per 100 km.
In general, we can talk about improved dynamics while driving. Car enthusiasts who have chip-tuned their Camry note that engine idling has become stable, and gear shifting no longer causes jerking and jerking.
We consider it inadvisable to chip the V6 3.5 2GR engine, stock 249 hp. and 346 N*m of torque is enough for the front-wheel drive sedan. In some situations, this power even causes inconvenience. The goal of such reprogramming is not always to increase power and torque; it is also possible to reduce fuel consumption and make the engine quieter and smoother. The Camry XV40 was equipped with two engines: 4-cylinder 2.4 2AZ 167 hp. and V6 3.5 2GR 277hp.
Chip tuning of Toyota 2.4 2AZ engine
The electronic systems of modern cars are complex and demanding, so do not trust non-professionals to work with them. This can lead to incorrect reprogramming, incorrect operation of the motor, or damage to the ECU.
Do not believe if they promise an increase in the power of the naturally aspirated 2.4 2AZ by 30-40 hp or more, the real increase will not exceed 15-20 hp, and the increase in torque will be 20 n.m.
