It happens that the trunk volume does not always correspond to the size of the car. Fortunately, the Toyota Camry is a business class car and the manufacturer has provided it with a spacious luggage compartment. But, if this space is not enough for you, we offer several options to increase the internal dimensions of the car trunk:
- Since this car is equipped with a full-size spare tire, which takes up a lot of space, you can replace it with a spare tire, which takes up much less space. To do this, you will not only have to replace the spare tire itself, but also remove the plastic organizer for fastening the full-size spare tire, and instead install a “dock” mounting bolt (sold in any car store);
- when transporting large cargo, the most logical, albeit temporary, solution would be to lower the backrests of the rear seats (we remind you that this function is not available in all trim levels);
- choose trunk mats that are sized for a specific type of car. In absolute terms, this will increase the trunk volume of your Camry slightly, but will make operation more comfortable and ergonomic.
Toyota Camry trunk and its volume
In terms of its dimensions, the four-door Toyota Camry sedan is not inferior to other representatives of the business class, providing passengers with a comfortable and convenient ride even when loaded with three people in the back row of seats. At the same time, the designers made sure that the trunk of the car fits all the things for four passengers and the driver if a long trip is planned. In normal condition, the Toyota Camry trunk has a volume of 506 liters for all versions except the Prestige configuration. In this configuration, due to the additional options that are located in the luggage compartment, its volume is slightly less than standard and amounts to 486 liters. But even this volume is quite enough to place a fairly large load in the trunk.
If you need to transport some large item one-time, the trunk volume can be increased by folding the rear row seats. In this case, the volume almost doubles and will be about 1100 liters.
The Camry trunk not only has a large volume, but is very convenient to use. First of all, the design of the luggage compartment has an optimal configuration - it is not only deep, but also wide. The luggage opening has a flat shape, making it easier to load bulky or wide items.
Also, the Toyota Camry trunk is equipped with various additional hooks that allow you to secure a bag or cargo in the trunk and prevent it from tipping over.
Under the carpet in the luggage compartment there is a full-size spare tire, a jack, a warning triangle and the tools necessary for quickly removing the wheel rim. To avoid extraneous sounds and “dangling” of the spare wheel in the trunk, it is rigidly fixed in the niche with a threaded connection.

Prestige (R4) - the most expensive configuration with a 2.4 engine has cruise control, electronic stability control (ESP), traction control (TCS) and xenon headlights.
The Luxury (R5), in addition to a more powerful V6 3.5 engine, pleases the owner with adjustments to the rear sofa in the longitudinal direction and the ability to select the desired tilt of its backrest, the steering wheel and automatic transmission selector are trimmed in wood, and there is a rear window sunshade.
Statistics of used Camry 40 by trim levels
If we limit the search area for Camry 40 to the territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS, we can analyze and conclude that the most popular models are those equipped with a 2.4 engine with 167 horsepower and an automatic transmission. Slightly less common are examples with an engine capacity of 3.5 liters with 277 horsepower and an automatic transmission.
An even smaller market share is occupied by models with a 2.4 engine and manual transmission. There are also rarer combinations of units found throughout the Russian Federation and the CIS - a 3.5 engine and a manual. And the very apogee of exclusivity for the domestic market is the configuration of the American Camry 40 with a 2.5-liter internal combustion engine and automatic transmission, as well as cars with hybrid units.
Nevertheless, it is possible to find Camry 40 of these rare configurations on the domestic market; most often they can be found in the eastern part of the Russian Federation. This is where most of the rare models come from, since they come to the country from the “homeland” of origin of the Toyota brand. Hybrid models are intended for the Japanese domestic market and are not officially supplied to the Russian Federation and the CIS. The most popular models are produced within the country, for the Russian Federation - a plant in St. Petersburg. So finding a domestically assembled model is not difficult. If we talk about the units installed in Toyota Camry 40 cars, they are as follows:
- all pre-restyling vehicle configurations, starting with Comfort (R1) and ending with Prestige (R4), are equipped with 2.4 engines and automatic transmission, there is also a lower Comfort configuration with a 2.4 engine and manual transmission;
- The Luxe (R5) package is equipped with a more powerful 3.5 engine and automatic transmission;
- restyled models have exactly the same power equipment as the pre-restyle version, for models starting with the Comfort version and ending with the Prestige version - 2.4 automatic transmission, the version with manual transmission has the simplest electrical equipment and is supplied only in the Comfort package (R1);
- The richest equipment for the restyled model is Luxe, it has a 3.5 engine and automatic transmission.
External parameters
The overall impression of the car's style remains unchanged. The 2015 Toyota Camry retains the same rigor and sophistication in its lines. The external characteristics of the car remained almost the same, but with improvements to the exterior and interior design.
Visually assessing the car, you can notice that the headlights have changed in the design of the body, as well as all the main optics. The model now has impressively sized air intakes, which make the appearance more aggressive. Due to this, the appearance takes on a more sporty appearance. The optics of the 2015 Toyota Camry have undergone some improvements. Thus, its repeaters are made in conjunction with the main DRL lighting. The main headlights are also slightly changed, but the description of their sizes remains the same as the previous model. Due to the fact that the bumper has divisions, as well as some sections together with a beautiful and laconic radiator grille, the car takes on an aggressive look.
The new 2015 Toyota Camry has similar overall dimensions, which remain virtually unchanged:
- the length of the model is slightly increased and is 4850 mm;
- the width remained the same 1825 mm;
- body height – 1480 mm.

Today this version is considered a good family car. Constructors and designers made the car with the main goal of maximizing the comfort of the people who will be inside. In addition, safety remained at a high level when operating vehicles on any terrain.
Description of the Toyota Camry 2007 car
Camry cars of the 2007 model year were offered to Russian customers in several equipment options. Traditionally, Toyota has not provided additional options (except for metallic paint or additional elements installed by the dealer).
The manufacturer divided the body design into standard and prestigious lines.
The basic version under the Camry brand was offered in all markets, and the prestigious version under the designation Toyota Aurion was designed for Australia and the Middle East.
Car appearance
The sedan received a body with rounded edges and a hood tilted forward. The front bumper with an integrated decorative radiator grille with an increased length provided protection during collisions at speeds of up to 5-7 km/h.
Headlights with lenses improved road illumination, and xenon lamps were offered on some cars. The fog lights at the bottom of the bumper had round reflectors, and there were no turn signals on the front fenders.
