Wheels for Toyota Land Cruiser 100 play an important role. This is both attractive and an additional improvement in performance. You just need to buy the right drive models that provide these indicators.

What are they made of?

The easiest way to buy cast alloy wheels in Moscow. They are made from a special alloy based on aluminum and additional additives. The product is poured under high pressure, polished, and brought to high aesthetic standards. If you follow the rules for their use, such wheels will last for several seasons of active daily driving on not the best roads. The price of such disks depends on various parameters. But any owner of the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 will find a favorable price for themselves.

There are also forged wheels. They are much more expensive because they are made using a different technology. At the same time, their durability is much higher. But often they need to be ordered separately. They are quite difficult to find in mass sales.

What has changed in the salon?

Getting into the Land Cruiser 300 is easy - you put your foot on the wide footrest (it is located lower than in the 200), grab the comfortable handle on the A-pillar and fall onto the leather chair. The range of longitudinal adjustment of the steering wheel has been expanded - perhaps this is the first Toyota where you don’t need to move closer to it.

There are also differences between the two configurations inside - the 70th Anniversary boasts a large wide-screen “TV”, which also displays images from all-round cameras. “Comfort+” got a simpler multimedia complex, and the image from the rear camera does not stand up to criticism. But it still has the normal “physical” buttons, a cool climate control unit, and a convenient shelf underneath. So I liked the interior of the less expensive version more.

Size matters

The manufacturer of these cars equips their models at the factory with standard wheels and tires. They can be replaced with others if the wheel bolt pattern allows, and the new tires do not rub against body parts and chassis.

It is better to entrust the selection of elements of such tuning to a specialist. It is especially good if you simultaneously replace tires and wheels on the Toyota Land Cruiser 100. In this case, you will be able to take into account all the parameters necessary for a comfortable and safe ride, depending on your preferred driving style.

If you do this yourself, before purchasing, you should carefully study the advice of experts and reviews of real customers about each suitable model of wheels and tires.

Toyota Land Cruiser 200 wheels

Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is a popular Japanese SUV that is successful in the Russian market. Unlike domestic models of off-road vehicles, the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is slightly inferior in cross-country ability, but provides a greater level of comfort in the cabin.

Nevertheless, despite the purpose of the Land Cruiser, the vast majority of cars in the Russian Federation are used only in urban areas, where tuning and style of the car are put in first place. That is why choosing wheels for a Kruzak is a very sensitive moment for every owner.

Danger of incorrect bolt pattern

Do not neglect the recommendation to adhere to the bolt pattern, since the possible consequences can be disastrous. Among them: the prospect of premature failure of the suspension and increased play in the steering wheel, which, during prolonged use with incorrectly selected mounts for the discs, can fall off the column.

Other possible troubles include wheel misalignment, which most often occurs when the number and diameter of fasteners do not match, as well as the appearance of cracks and through damage to the disks, which may simply not withstand the load on the suspension if the offset value does not match.

That is why in no case should you ignore the markings, using the first pins that come to hand for disk fixation.

Parameters and sizes of wheels for Toyota Land Cruiser 200

According to the manufacturer's regulations, the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is equipped with wheels of the following parameters: width from 8J to 8.5J, drilling PCD 5×150 and a total diameter from 17 to 20 with an offset of 60 mm. At the same time, the recommended tire sizes are from 17 to 20 radius with a profile of 50-65. Also, all Toyota Land Cruiser 200 models intended for sale on the European market use mounting nuts measuring M14*1.5.

More detailed information is presented in the table below:

Year of car manufactureDisc drillingDisc offsetStandard sizeAcceptable tire size
2007-20185*1506017×8.0285/65 R17
2007-20185*1506018×8.0285/60 R18
2007-20185*1506020×8.5285/50 R20

You can find out the recommended parameters of the disks in the car’s service book - in the corresponding section the following code will be presented: “8J R17 PCD5*150 ET60 d57.1”. The decoding of the meanings is as follows:

  • J “8” – Total width of disks in inch measurement system;
  • R “17” – Disc diameter in inch measurement system;
  • PCD “5” – Number of mounting holes on the disk;
  • Double PCD “150” – The diameter of the circle on the area of which the mounting holes are located. The value is given in millimeters;
  • ET “60” – Disc offset in millimeters;
  • d “57.1” – Diameter of the central hole.

Note! The types and parameters of wheels, as well as the size of tires installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200, do not depend on the technical equipment of the car or the line of power units.

The vehicle platform allows you to install any recommended size of rims on the car without significantly changing the performance characteristics - the only thing you need to remember is that larger rims increase the vehicle's cross-country ability, but complicate handling.

If you want to install wheels and tires of non-standard sizes, it is recommended to use the selection of models by vehicle VIN number. To do this, you need to go to the official website of the wheel manufacturer and check the compatibility of the desired model by entering the vehicle VIN code and the trade article number of the wheel into the search database. Remember, installing wheels or tires of the wrong size seriously limits the vehicle's performance, which can cause roll in corners, suspension sway when driving at high speeds, or complete loss of controllability.

Features of vehicle bolt pattern parameters

It is worth noting that each model for a particular vehicle brand has its own characteristics:

  • rim width;
  • disk diameter;
  • diameter circle;
  • rim offset size;
  • some other parameters.

To prevent premature tire wear and damage to the vehicle suspension. When choosing tires, it is imperative to pay attention to such an aspect as technical characteristics. If you encounter difficulties in selecting the most suitable tires, you can always seek advice from store employees who will help you choose tires, taking into account, first of all, the model of your car, the budget you plan to spend on the purchase, as well as some other parameters.

What wheels can be installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200?

Regardless of the configuration, only alloy wheels are installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 from the factory. However, the owner can change the parts to another model based on aesthetic or practical reasons - all car wheels are classified according to the type of materials used in their manufacture. Eg:

  • Stamped steel is the most budget-friendly type of disc. Stamped wheels have a greater safety margin and can be straightened out after hitting road potholes. Among the disadvantages of the steel version, it is necessary to note the unpretentious appearance and high weight, as a result of which the controllability of the vehicle is slightly reduced and fuel consumption increases. Stamped wheels are practically not installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 - an exceptional point is the operation of the vehicle off-road;
  • Light alloy cast - usually installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 at the manufacturing plant. Alloy wheels are made from aluminum or titanium and provide greater handling and fuel efficiency. The disadvantages of casting are directly proportional to stamping - light-alloy wheels simply crack under a serious impact, which makes them completely unrepairable;
  • Forged - the manufacturing technology for forged wheels differs significantly from the production of the above models. The advantages of the forged version are high strength and lightness of construction, due to which the discs are moderately economical and do not deform when they fall into a hole. Among the minuses, it is worth noting the complete lack of energy absorption - all shocks when driving on uneven roads are completely transferred to the car’s suspension, shortening its service life.

In addition to the price category and aesthetics, wheel rims must be selected depending on the type of car suspension. On the Toyota Land Cruiser 200, the suspension system can consist of either a classic spring version or an air suspension. For example, installing forged wheels on a spring suspension will transform the car's handling without compromising strength, while for air suspension it is worth installing only alloy wheels - the forged version will significantly shorten the safety margin of the suspension.

Expert advice

When choosing tires for a car, you must first follow the manufacturer's instructions. Ask yourself a few questions.

  • On what roads will the car be primarily used?
  • Do you need increased cross-country ability?
  • How much of the route will be city roads and how much will be highways?
  • Will the vehicle carry heavy loads?

The answers to these and similar questions will help determine which tire parameters you need to pay special attention to.

How to choose the right wheels for Toyota Land Cruiser 2007?

3 types of rims:

  • Stamped (economical price category) - made from a sheet of iron by stamping on a press.
  • Light alloy - manufactured by casting (more reliable than stamped ones).
  • Forged (the highest quality and more expensive than the previous ones) - made from light alloys by stamping at high temperatures.

The choice depends on financial capabilities. However, it should be borne in mind that the quality of the road surface on which you have to drive every day must also be taken into account.

So, if it gets into a hole, a stamped disk will bend and will not cause harm to the tire, but a forged or cast one can cut it. There is a possibility that the cast disc may burst or crack.

It should also be noted that repairing “stamping” wheels is cheaper than repairing cast or forged wheels. But wheels with high-quality cast and forged disks kill the suspension less, because lighter and have more perfect geometry (better balanced).

The same wheels may or may not rub with tires on the same car - wheel alignment adjustment will help here.

What is the tire pressure?

It is the driver's responsibility to constantly monitor tire pressure. This will avoid standard problems associated with vehicle operation. An abnormal pressure value often causes:

  • deterioration of management;
  • uneven tread wear.

Often the car owner independently reduces the pressure in the wheels of his own vehicle. This reduces the load on the suspension, and the car “passes” various road irregularities an order of magnitude easier. But it is worth noting: a decrease in pressure even by 0.1 MPa leads to serious problems. The main ones include:

  • increased fuel consumption;
  • rapid wear of the outer tread segments;
  • the car becomes less maneuverable.

An overinflated wheel causes no less problems. The central part of the cylinder begins to wear off quickly. In addition, at ambient temperatures of more than 60 degrees Celsius, the tire may simply explode. Which will lead to driving into the oncoming lane.

What wheels should you buy for a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 for off-road use?

The Japanese SUV has great potential, which it can fully realize only when going off-road, however, with the wrong choice of wheels and tires, the vehicle’s cross-country ability is sharply reduced. For maximum vehicle cross-country ability, you need to choose specialized tires with increased lugs, but with the choice of wheels everything is a little more complicated:

  • When traveling to rocky terrain, it would be more rational to install stamped discs - the steel version is more resistant to damage and can be straightened if necessary. Casting will quickly become unusable, and stamped discs, if something happens, can be replaced with a new set - the cost of replacement will be several times cheaper than the option made of aluminum or titanium;
  • Before driving in mud or swamps, it is necessary to install castings - lightweight aluminum or titanium wheels will provide greater maneuverability and controllability, but the steel version will make it difficult for the car to get out of the mud, creating additional slipping;
  • It is better to replace forged wheels before going off-road - firstly, such a set is too expensive, and secondly, it will quickly kill the suspension system, since it does not absorb shocks and vibrations. Forged wheels are recommended for use only when driving on public roads.

Note! Before going off-road, it is imperative to remove the caps, if any.

The caps are designed to protect the side of the discs from damage, however, on off-road conditions, additional protection can become an obstacle to the removal of dirt and cooling of the brake system, which can result in damage to the hub or failure of the brake mechanism.

Verified models

The 6.5×16/5×114.3 M38 product from the Chinese company Alcasta meets factory recommendations and is suitable for 2012, 2013 or 2021 vehicles. release. The parts are made of aluminum alloy using high pressure casting technology, the outer surface is polished and coated with a protective varnish. The weight of the product without the tire is 8.55 kg; the mounting bolts press the disc to the hub due to the cone in the hole. The manufacturer Alcasta offers products of the M36 model, which are distinguished by increased weight to 8.63 kg.

Alcasta M33 products are cast from aluminum alloy and weigh 8.57 kg. The outer surface is covered with black glossy paint, the front surfaces of the spokes are not painted, but filled with a layer of varnish. Alcasta products are distinguished by high-quality aluminum alloy, which does not crack upon impact. The paint coating can withstand exposure to road chemicals and light contact with the surface of curbstones.

The Russian manufacturer KiK offers a 5-spoke model “Rassvet”, made of aluminum alloy. The weight of the disc is 9 kg, the outer surface is polished and coated with a layer of varnish. There is a modification with partial black varnish coating. The products are characterized by increased strength and resistance to mechanical stress. The disadvantage is the increased weight (compared to Chinese counterparts).

Products from (Russia) are also suitable for installation on Renault Duster. The manufacturer offers models “Hamburg”, “Venice” and “Mizar”, which differ in the number and design of spokes. The central hole has a diameter of 66.1 mm, but the Venice model has a channel size increased to 67.1 mm. The discs are cast from aluminum alloy; the surface goes through several stages of machining and is varnished. Modifications are offered with a partial coating of glossy black paint.

The Kick Replica and Scud Replica brands offer wheels with a design that replicates original Renault elements. The parts are made using casting technology, the weight is within 9 kg. The owner of the crossover can install forged products from the Russian company Slik (model L-215 or L-209), which have a reduced weight of up to 7 kg. The products are characterized by increased strength, but the cost of the discs is 2-2.5 times higher than that of cast products.

Stamped products

It is possible to use discs made by stamping, for example parts from the Russian TZSK plant (Togliatti). Additionally, you need to purchase a set of plugs to cover the central hole. Their surface is covered with enamel. There is a model painted with impact-resistant metallic paint.

Similar parts are supplied by MW Eurodisk. The plant welds disks with trapezoidal or round holes from stamped parts. Their surface is coated with silver or black paint. In terms of geometric parameters, the parts comply with factory standards (6.5Jx16 5/114.3 ET50 d66.1). The holes for the mounting bolts have conical side walls.

On the spare parts market you can find steel products from Steger and Trebl factories. The advantages of the parts include reduced price and good balancing. The weight of the parts reaches 11.3 kg without taking into account the weight of the tire, which negatively affects the operation of the suspension of the Renault Duster. The discs are covered with a layer of protective enamel, but if the coating is damaged or peeled off, surface corrosion begins.

Decoding the disc markings on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200

For example, R18 5×150 6.5J ET60 (see photo):

  • PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) diameter of the circle of the center of the mounting holes: 95 mm;
  • Disc radius: 18;
  • Number of holes 5;
  • Fastening type: M15 – stud diameter;
  • Thread size (pitch): 1.25;
  • Center hole diameter: 73 mm;
  • Pressure (front / rear): 2.3 / 2.35 bar.

PCD parameter: distance between the centers of opposite holes. Measure the value with a ruler without removing the wheel. For a five-bolt structure, the resulting distance must be multiplied by a factor of 1.05.

Rim offset (“ET”): The distance between the point where the rim meets the hub and the middle of the rim width. Designation: DEPORT, OFFSET. The offset is positive if the plane does not extend beyond the point of contact, otherwise the offset is negative. The further the rim is from the body, the more the offset tends to zero.

  • D is the diameter of the central hole, measured in millimeters.
  • J, H and subsequent alphabetical symbols indicate the markings of the humps on the rim flange. Symmetrical, asymmetrical and combined.
  • The “Hump” is a protrusion on the rim for a tubeless tire. When moving, the “rails” hold the tire beads, preventing depressurization.

Numerical characters indicate the release date, month, year.

  • TUV is an abbreviation for the regulatory authority for compliance with quality standards.

Maximum wheel load: the unit of measurement depends on the country of manufacture of the rubber and rim.

Departure

Overhang is the linear distance between the inner end of the disc in contact with the hub and the middle of the rim.

Zero, positive and negative offset

A wheel with deviations of this value often fits into its normal place without any problems. Many drivers do not give the ET parameter the importance it deserves. Installing a disc with the wrong offset leads to a change in the operating conditions of all suspension elements. The point of application of forces shifts from what was calculated by the designers, which increases wear on components and can lead to sudden failure. In addition, the inevitable displacement of the centers of the disks leads to a displacement of the steering axis, which negatively affects handling.

ET can be calculated using the formula:

ET=Ll/2,

where L is the distance from the inner plane to the inner end, l is the width of the disk. On Toyota Corolla wheels, the offset ranges from 39 to 50 mm.

Recommendations for disc care

  • Check wheel balancing on a special diagnostic stand in the workshop. If deviations are detected, restore the geometry of the structure. It is impossible to “reanimate” the disk on your own due to the lack of necessary equipment;
  • If you find cracks or dents on the rim, contact a service station for preventive maintenance and rolling;
  • At high and medium speeds, avoid getting into holes and potholes. The disc is deformed, the seal is broken, the tire cord is damaged;
  • Monitor the tire pressure; it should not differ from that recommended by the manufacturer. If there is a deviation, pump it up yourself, contact the service station;
  • Observe the transition to summer and winter modes. In summer, the tire pressure is 0.15 atm higher, in winter it is lower by the same amount. The parameters are specified in the vehicle operating instructions;
  • Tighten the rim nuts with a torque wrench. Excessive tightening will cause the studs to break, while too little will cause them to unscrew. Which will lead to a collision on the road with an oncoming traffic participant.

In sunny weather, cast aluminum wheels are less susceptible to external damage. But in slush, ice, when the road is strewn with chemicals, the rim is susceptible to corrosion. This provokes peeling of the paint, destruction of the molecular composition, and a decrease in the strength of the structure.

Wash your wheels as they get dirty. Since it is unlikely that you can clean it properly with a rag, use high-pressure compressors. Equipment of this class is available at many service stations, workshops, and service centers.

Systematic polishing removes scratches. First clean the wheel from dirt, dry it thoroughly, and then treat it with a chemical. Wipe with a cloth several times.

Store wheels in a hanging position, do not stack them on top of each other. Clean off any dirt, dry, and wrap in cellophane. Some motorists practice applying an aerosol to the surface before preservation.

The average service life of original wheels is 150,000 km. Subject to a moderate driving style, the replacement interval will increase by a third. The service life of tires does not exceed 60 – 80 thousand km.

Buy original parts and consumables. Carefully check the catalog numbers and markings with the data specified in the instruction manual.

Use the services of certified workshops, service centers, service stations. Remember that non-professional repair intervention does not guarantee the functionality of the equipment. Handicraft repairs and diagnostics contribute to the cancellation of the factory warranty and refusal of service at branded service stations.

Calculation formula and compatibility tables

Of course, you should use a ruler as a last resort, since this measuring device gives, albeit insignificant, but at the same time, an undesirable error. And why bother if you can use ready-made compatibility tables, and in a matter of minutes find in them your own car model and the corresponding wheel markings.

As for the bolt pattern formula, this issue is best considered with a specific example. And if you see the marking 7.5Jx16H24/98ET30d60, then this means that you are dealing with wheels with a 7.5-inch width and a 16-inch rim diameter, installed on front- or rear-wheel drive cars.

As for the H2 combination, they are generally taken into account only by car service specialists, indicating the presence of two annular protrusions. 4/98 – four holes with a diameter of 9.8 mm, ET30 – disc offset marking in a positive value, and d58.5 – data center size.

What ORW tires and wheels should I install on a Toyota LandCruiser?

Toyota LandCruiser is one of the most famous Japanese SUVs, produced since 1955. Cars of the first generations, unlike modern ones, did not gain such popularity and distribution.

  • Tire and wheel sizes for toyota land cruiser prado 2012

But since 1980, the situation has changed, modifications of the J60 with a luxurious interior appeared on the market, and in 1984 the J70 (seventy), produced to this day in a modified version.

Toyota used the principles embedded in them in all subsequent generations.

The Toyota LandCruiser can confidently be called legendary. The car operates equally well both in modern cities and in the most extreme conditions. For example, Toyota is testing the LandCruiser in the Australian desert, and thanks to its active use in regional conflicts, the concept of Toyota War even appeared.

Japanese engineers are among the most conservative in the world: the landing dimensions of the LandCruiser have not changed for decades. Almost all cars in the series have a drilling size of 6×139.7 (DIA 106.2 mm), for the 100 and 105 it is 5×150 (DIA 110 mm). But other parameters depend on the specific year of manufacture and body kit.

  • On Toyota TLS 60, 70, 80, 100 models I installed standard wheels:
  • 16x7 6x139.7 ET30; 15x7 6x139.7 ET10; 16x8 5x150 ET10; 17x8 5x150 ET10
  • With tire size:
  • 215/80R16; 265/70R16; 265/75R15

The ORW assortment allows you to find the necessary model even for the rarest LandCruiser modifications. All products are certified, significantly more reliable than standard discs, and tested by participation in professional trophy raids. To replace standard wheels, we recommend stamped ORW wheels:

16x7 6x139.7 ET30 (except for the 60th, 70th series, 100th series)

  1. Stage 1 of TLC tuning
  2. As a rule, Land Cruiser owners do not stop with standard tires, striving for wider and taller tires, which, when installed, increase the car’s off-road capabilities and make the appearance more brutal. Such wheels become cramped in the arches of the car, so there is a need to play with the offset:
  3. 16x7 6x139.7 ET 0
  4. 16x8 6x139.7 ET 0
  5. 17x8 6x139.7 ET0
  6. 16x8 5x150 ET 0
  7. and tire size:
  8. 265/75/16; 275/70/17; 285/65/18

Stage 2 of TLC tuning

To install 33 wheels, minor modifications will be required. Typically, this is an inexpensive 2-inch lift kit.

  • Metal Wheels Off Road Wheels for Toyota LandCruiser:
  • 16x8 6x139.7 ET -19
  • 16x8 5x150 ET -13
  • In this case, the tires can already be installed;
  • 255/85/16; 285/75/16; 295/70/17

Stage 3 of TLC tuning

If you want to drive on 35 wheels, you need to carry out work to further improve the car. The lift will not be limited to just spacers, this is already a 4-inch kit, here it is necessary to change the caster. The most affordable way is to install drop boxes, which move the front trailing arm frame mount 4 inches down and 1 inch forward.

  1. Suitable off-road wheels ORV:
  2. 16x10 6x139.7 ET -44
  3. 17x10 6x139.7 ET -40
  4. 16×8 6×139.7 ET -25
  5. 16×8 6×139.7 ET -40
  6. 18×8 6×139.7 ET -25
  7. 17x10 5x150 ET -40
  8. Stamped wheels with beadlocks for Toyota LandCruiser:
  9. 16×8 6×139.7 ET-19

Tuning will allow the wheel to fit into the arch and not touch body parts. The width of the rim in this size is 8-10 inches, depending on the width of the tire.

Stage 4 TLC tuning

Installing 37-38 wheels will require deep tuning of the suspension, body work and transmission. Lift kit from 4 inches, trimming body parts in the arch on the front axle. Since the actual dimensions of tires are slightly different from the markings, the work must be done “on site”. Here, a good lift kit is no longer so important as the experience of the people performing the modifications.

Tire markings

There are many icons on Toyota Land Cruiser tires, we will list the main ones.

Manufacturer . Its name is clearly visible on the tires, because... it is written for advertising. In addition to the name, the manufacturer's logo is embossed.

Trademark . Many tire manufacturers have several brands, within which rubber is produced in several lines. In 1 line there is a whole range of different sizes and characteristics such as: load and speed indices, degree of protection, purpose, operating conditions, seasonality, etc. Thus, the marking of a Land Cruiser tire will provide all the necessary information about it.

Decoding tire size

The most important part of Land Cruiser tires is the tire size data.

Let's look at the inscription 195/60R14 . She informs us that we have a 195 mm , radial type (letter R). 60 is the percentage ratio of the profile height to its width. Here the height is 117 mm (195 x 60%). The last digit 14 is ⌀, measured in inches. a letter C at the end of the tire size , this means that such tires are suitable for small trucks and minibuses, because they have several reinforced layers.

Sometimes a load capacity index is added after the letter C. For example, the entry 104/102S indicates the load factor (maximum) for a single (104) installation and a double (102) installation , which is similar to 900 and 850 kg, respectively. The letter S indicates the maximum speed for the tires is 180 km/h.

When this ratio is in the range of 80-82%, it may not be indicated. In other cases, it is always written in increments of 0.05.

For American Land Cruiser tires, a different system has been adopted. For example, the entry 35/12.5R15 113Q consistently means that the tire has an outer diameter of 35” , width – 12.5” , then the numbers are identical to our code. Those. The difference between American and our Land Cruiser tires is only in inches and millimeters.

Tire markings for different seasons

Europeans use the M+S or M&S . The letter M (mud) is for mud, S (snow) is for snow. The European climate is milder than in Russia, and they will call our winter tires for the Land Cruiser Arctic. Let's list the abbreviation of all-season “footwear” for Cruiser:

  • AS,
  • AGT
  • R+W – winter,
  • FROST - winter,
  • AW – all-season,
  • A/T – for any roads,
  • M/T – mud for Cruiser.

Often weather characteristics are illustrated with pictograms rather than with inscriptions, for example, all-weather “shoes” suitable for a Land Cruiser are indicated by snowflakes, rain and sun, winter ones are depicted with snowflakes or mountain peaks.

Often winter tires have a wear indicator of 4 mm instead of the standard 1.6 mm . Winter “shoes” feel softer to the touch than Land Cruiser summer tires. Rain options are indicated by the image of an umbrella or the following inscriptions:

  • Aqua,
  • Aquatred,
  • Aquacontact
  • Rain,
  • Water.

Disk size

When replacing wheels, you need to take into account the bolt pattern (PCD), the number and diameter of bolt holes. You should also consider the offset and size of Land Cruiser wheels.

6.5J×15 H2 5/112 ET39 d57.1 as an example .

Width

The width of the disc on the marking is indicated by the fraction 6.5 or 6 ½ . It is measured by the so-called. “shelf” on which the tire sidewalls lie. This is not edge to edge distance.

The size of Toyota Land Cruiser wheels and the width of the tires must a priori match. The required width is calculated using a special calculator. With its help, Land Cruiser 100 wheels can be shod with suitable tires.

Disc diameter

The number 15 means diameter (in inches). Again, this is not the outer dimension at the edges, but the diameter between the flanges where the beads of the tubeless tire rest. If the measurement showed 40.6 cm, then this is equal to 16 inches (40.6/2.54).

The letter H stands for hampas, i.e. protrusions on Toyota Land Cruiser rims designed to hold the tire. Their designations:

  • H - simple,
  • H2 - double,
  • AH - asymmetrical,
  • CH - combined,
  • FH - flat,

Bolt Pattern (PCD)

The next number, 5/112 , is the bolt pattern (PCD). 5 is the number of bolts on the Land Cruiser hub, 112 is the diameter (in mm) of the conventional circle on which the holes for the bolts are drilled.

To measure the PCD, with the Cruiser wheels secured, use a ruler to measure the distance between the center points of the opposite bolt holes. If there are 4 of them, then the distance is measured between opposite bolts, and if there are 5 of them, then this distance is multiplied by a factor of 0.51 . These measurements must be carried out carefully, because... a difference of 2 mm means different sizes.

Disc offset

ET39 is the offset, or offset, of Cruiser wheels, a value indicating how many mm the Land Cruiser's wheels do not match the body. It is also marked with the words OFFSET or DEPORT . This value is measured in millimeters. The departure may be with a “+” sign, i.e. positive, or “-”, i.e. negative. It is equal to zero when the middle of the wheel and the plane of attachment to the hub coincide 100%. In our marking the offset is positive, 39 mm.

Many people believe that the larger the offset, the more the Kruzak wheel protrudes outside the body. But it's the other way around.

Center hole diameter

d57.1 is ⌀ of the central hole of the wheel (so-called DIA ). It is measured from the side of the mating plane; in our markings the figure is 57.1 mm.

Many DIA alloy wheels are oversized and use adapters (rings) on the hub . They can be metal (aluminum) or plastic. Although plastic is not as durable as metal, in severe frosts it does not “stick” to the hub, and this is its advantage for Russian car enthusiasts.

On steel (stamp) disks, adapter rings are not used in practice, and in them the DIA must exactly correspond to the recommended one. Deviation is allowed +-0.1 mm, no more. Original Toyota Land Cruiser wheels also do not provide adapter rings; the central hole in them is made immediately of the required diameter.

Body and interior

As for the body, it is easily recognizable by its characteristic contours, used by the Toyota concern at that time. With smooth lines, the appearance is quite aggressive; it is a classic, which even against the backdrop of modern models looks relevant and attractive. Large elements, voluminous protrusions in the arch area, a massive radiator grille and large headlights create that unique look that many people like.

In the 100th version, the bumpers were painted in body color, and there were quite a lot of color options. The design received anti-corrosion treatment, so many examples have remained in good condition to this day.

As for the interior, first of all it is necessary to note the comfortable location of both front and rear passengers - there is really a lot of space. Plus there were versions equipped with two additional seats for adults in the back and even there there was enough legroom. Moreover, the car is equipped with all active and passive safety systems that existed at the time of production.

The instrument panel is large, with easily readable indicators. In the middle is the information display, below it is the media system and controls for additional functions. Also worth noting is the comfortable armrest. A lot of attention was paid to ergonomics, so everything is located and arranged conveniently, you can get used to the car very quickly.

For finishing, high-quality wear-resistant materials are used that are easy to clean. Most often, the interior is decorated in two colors, the ceiling is covered with non-woven material, the texture of which varies. The model was equipped with various types of hatches or a storage system located on the roof.

The trunk is very roomy - 830 liters, which is enough to transport several suitcases. And if you fold down the passenger seats, the volume increases to 1370 liters. The rear door is lifting horizontal type.
