The center console received an 8-inch touch screen multimedia system in its upper part, which is recessed inside. The tunnel is stylishly made, look at the photo and you will agree with this. Its upper part has control washers for seat heating. Afterwards we see a small selector for a CVT or manual transmission. After that there is a button to turn on the sports mode, and behind it there is one cup holder with a lid.
The model has a good trunk, but it is disappointing due to the lack of various boxes. The volume itself is good, it is equal to 509 liters, the seats cannot be folded, but there is a hatch for skis. By the way, the doors inside are beautifully decorated; they have wooden inserts, leather armrests and a small pocket.

- The next unit is essentially the same, but its volume has been increased to 1.8 liters, as a result of which the power has increased to 147 horses and the torque to 180 H*m. The dynamics have become better, acceleration has decreased by 1 second, and for some reason the maximum speed has not changed. Fuel consumption also remained unchanged.
- The latest gasoline engine is a 16-valve naturally aspirated 2-liter unit. It has 152 horsepower and 189 torque. There is more power, but due to a different gearbox the dynamics are worse - 10 seconds to hundreds and 205 km/h maximum speed, maximum speed as you understand better. Consumption remained the same.
Diesel engines:
- The base diesel has a volume of 1.6 liters, it is 16-valve and at the same time turbocharged. It has 112 horsepower and 270 H*m of torque. 11 seconds to a hundred, this is of course rather weak, the maximum speed is 180 km/h. This unit pleases with its low consumption of only 5 liters of diesel fuel in the city and 3.5 on the highway.
- The latest diesel also has a turbine; in general, diesel engines are rarely not turbocharged. Its volume is equal to 2 liters and it produces 143 horses, which are achieved at 4 thousand revolutions. The torque is as much as 320 H*m. 9.5 seconds to hundreds and 200 km/h top speed is not bad. The consumption will be approximately half a liter more than the previous unit.
The suspension of the Toyota Avensis 2018-2019 (T27) remains the same; the model has an independent front design, which is mounted on MacPherson struts. Among the problems of the machine, one can highlight the rapid wear of the front planetary gear set relative to other elements. The problem appears with a sporty driving style. This happens with a 4-speed automatic. Aggressive style also negatively affects the rear cover, which will pull the clutch pack along with it. If there are malfunctions in the operation of the valve body, this is the first sign of problems with the cover.
“Racers” are better off looking for a 5-speed automatic, although the gas turbine gaskets wear out quickly.
Fractures of CV joints occur in transmissions due to corrosion under the lining. The problem is easily solved by replacing, although only a new part.
