Before you start replacing a broken luggage cable, you need to stock up on a Phillips and flat-head screwdriver, two wrenches (10 and 14), as well as a new luggage cable.
In order to change the trunk cable of a Toyota Corolla car you will have to:
- remove the luggage compartment upholstery (it is held on by special clips);
- remove two plastic body sills (one front, one rear), as well as the front seat (under it there is a plastic plug, under which there are two fourteen-millimeter bolts that should be removed). This is necessary to access the trunk lid opening handle;
- After performing these operations, you should unscrew the pedals for opening the fuel tank and trunk (they are held on by two screws, which can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver). The old luggage cable is removed from special plastic latches;
- Next follows the process of dismantling the failed part. To do this, unscrew the ten-millimeter bolt securing the entire mechanism.
- The new cable is installed in the same way as the old part was installed. After this operation is completed, assembly of the trunk lid opening mechanism is carried out in the reverse order.

One of the main sources of noise in a 2002 or 2004 Toyota Camry alternator is the belt. Replacing the belt is quite simple. You need to take the key 19 and use a special grip to press the tensioner down to move it from the roller. Then remove the generator belt itself. We take a new part and, using the same key, put everything on the structure.

The process of dismantling the old and replacing a new cable requires extreme care and precision. Many parts, such as the luggage compartment upholstery, as well as various kinds of plugs, are held on by plastic clips, which can be broken very easily. You should not replace it in frosty weather: from excessive exposure to low temperatures, the plastic may become cracked.
